Editorial policy

How we research, write, correct and fund information on home-klainpage. Last updated: 25 July 2026.

Our mission

home-klainpage exists to make bicycles and German cycling culture understandable in clear English. Content should help readers make informed, safe and realistic choices. We write for people with different levels of experience and avoid assuming that racing performance is every rider’s goal.

Research and review

We distinguish general riding guidance from facts that can change. Important legal, safety, access and transport statements should be checked against current primary or authoritative sources. Product categories are explained through functional differences rather than unverified performance claims.

Articles are reviewed for clarity, accuracy, conflicts and practical usefulness before publication. When a topic involves professional judgement—such as injury, law or complex mechanical work—we state the limits of general information and direct readers to qualified help.

Corrections and updates

Readers can report a potential error through the contact page and select “Correction or update.” Please identify the page, disputed statement and a reliable source where possible. We review substantive reports and update confirmed errors. Material corrections should be made transparently rather than silently changing the meaning of a published claim.

Advertising and commercial independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers. Advertising, if introduced, will be visually distinguishable from editorial content. Payment does not guarantee editorial coverage or a favourable conclusion. Sponsored content, affiliate relationships, supplied products and other relevant commercial relationships must be clearly disclosed near the content they affect.

home-klainpage currently does not publish paid product rankings or affiliate buying links.
